We are barely into the new year but families are busy in preparation for their big day, First Holy Communion 2019. So, I thought it was time to release some details on my First Holy Communion photography sessions for those of you who are getting ready for the celebration.
During your baby’s first year they will hit countless milestones. First smile, first giggle, first tooth, I could go on and on. Every baby will reach their milestones in their own good time, but each one is a little celebration. You are a family now and you have watched this tiny bundle grow into a real person over the last 12 months. What better way to mark this major milestone than to capture this day in a very special way.

‘Me and my Mammy’ or ‘Me and my Daddy’ is a mini session in your home where Mammy or Daddy hang out with their little person for cuddles, giggles, stories, tickles or whatever you love to do together.
Does the choice of holding a religious Christening ceremony or a secular naming ceremony pose a dilemma for you and your partner? What’s different about them? Why have a ceremony in the first place?
I often meet Mums who are disappointed that, for whatever reason, they didn’t get around to booking a newborn photo session with me when their babies were new and tiny. But please don’t beat yourself up about this, there are only a handful of families who can get it together in those early days to arrange a newborn session. Your baby goes through so many changes and stages in the first year so why not consider a photo session around a particular milestone.
