Before you get in touch perhaps you would like to know a little about me.
I am Teresa Devenney, from Kildare. Photographer to babies, children and their families. I grew up as a very shy child. Regularly told by adults that I was too quiet. I felt awkward most of the time and just had a general feeling that there was something ‘wrong’ about me. Well, of course, now I know better. I was shy and an introvert. I understand how it feels to be a child under pressure to perform. This is why I take such a relaxed approach to my photography and work hard to put whoever is in front of me, at ease.
I wasn’t always a photographer to gorgeous, tiny new babies and their families . I also am lucky enough to be part of a team at a beautiful, local Montessori. In my own time, I am also lucky enough to work as a photographer. Remembering when I became a Mum, twenty years ago, I know I was totally in love and utterly blown away by the teeny, tiny, perfect fingers, toes, belly button, ears and button nose on my beautiful newborn baby girl. I tried in vain to capture these little baby details with my very basic digital camera but it just didn’t cut it. Sadly, details not captured.
This is why I photograph newborns and children. To make something beautiful and lasting of this time in parent’s lives.
